Tide Bandits Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Bearing Digital Compass mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a transparent understanding of how your information is handled.

1. Information Collection and Use

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Beyond what is described in the Advertising section below, Bearing Compass does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

• Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other identifying information.
• Usage Data: We do not run our own analytics or track how you use the App. The only usage and interaction data collected is gathered by Google’s AdMob SDK for advertising purposes, as described in the Advertising section below.
• Location Data: While the App requires access to your device’s location services and sensors (such as the magnetometer) to function as a compass, this data is processed locally on your device for compass calculations and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties. This is separate from the approximate, IP-based location that Google’s AdMob SDK may use for ad relevance, as described in the Advertising section below.

2. Permissions

To provide the App’s functionality, the App may request the following permissions:

• Location Services: Required to calculate true north and provide accurate heading data. This data stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
• Camera: Required for the App’s camera-based bearing compass features, including night vision and high-contrast viewing modes. Camera data is processed on your device to display the live camera view and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted by us.

3. Advertising

Bearing Compass is supported by advertising in its free version. We use Google AdMob

(the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display ads within the app. Google, as a third-party advertising

provider, collects certain data automatically when ads are shown, in order to serve and measure

those ads. This data is collected by Google, not by us directly — we do not receive, store, or

have access to it ourselves.

The data Google collects through AdMob may include:

**Device identifiers**, such as your device’s advertising identifier, used to serve and measure

  ads.

**IP address**, used to estimate your general (approximate) location for ad relevance and

  compliance with regional advertising rules.

**Diagnostic and performance data**, such as crash logs, app launch time, and energy usage,

  used to maintain ad delivery reliability.

**Ad interaction data**, such as which ads you’ve been shown and how you interact with them

  (for example, taps or video views).

Your choices

On iOS, you’ll be asked for permission before this data can be used to track you across other

companies’ apps and websites, in line with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. You can

allow or deny this when prompted, and can change your choice at any time in

**Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking**. If you decline, you’ll still see ads, but they may

be less relevant to you.
